STOIC STARS

WHAT YOU'LL FIND IN STOIC STARS

Different languages.
A personal exploration.

Open each section to discover what it offers and how we explore it in the app.

01Western natal chart

A natal chart represents the sky at the time and place of your birth. It places the Sun, Moon and planets within the Western zodiac and shows the relationships they form with one another. In astrology, these positions are used as a symbolic language to explore personal qualities, tensions and possibilities.

In Stoic Stars, we calculate the positions from your birth date, time and city, taking its coordinates and historical time zone into account. These details give us signs, equal houses and aspects. The interpretation brings them together to offer questions about how you feel, act and relate to others: an invitation to know yourself without turning the chart into a fixed destiny.

02Jyotish

Jyotish is India's astrological tradition and offers another way to read the sky and its cycles. It uses the sidereal zodiac, whose reference differs from the Western tropical zodiac. This is why the same person may find different positions and signs when exploring the two traditions.

The app applies the Lahiri ayanamsa to calculate Vedic signs and nakshatras, the lunar divisions of this tradition. It also explores periods such as the Vimshottari Dasha, which organises the reading into cycles associated with planets. These elements are interpreted in relation to themes and stages of your life, as a complementary perspective for reflecting on your journey.

03Astrocartography

Astrocartography takes the natal chart onto a map of the world. Its lines show places where, at the moment of your birth, particular planets occupied angular positions: rising, setting or near the meridian. Each line is read symbolically through the themes astrology associates with that planet.

In Stoic Stars, we use your birth date, time and place to project these relationships onto the map. You can explore regions that spark your curiosity through the language of your chart. It's a way to connect places with personal questions, without assuming a destination guarantees an experience or determines what your life there will be like.

04Tarot

Tarot is a deck of images, characters and scenes that can serve as a language for reflection. Its arcana evoke experiences such as change, choice, connection and uncertainty. A reading draws meaning both from individual cards and from the relationships between them and the question that brings them together.

In the app, each consultation selects a spread and generates an interpretation from the cards that appear and what you want to explore. The reading looks for associations relevant to your situation rather than giving a fixed answer. You can approach it as a conversation with symbols: noticing what resonates, what surprises you and what new questions emerge.

05Runes

Runes are characters from ancient Germanic alphabets that have also acquired a symbolic, interpretive use. Each carries associations with ideas such as movement, protection, exchange or transformation. In a reading, its meaning is considered alongside its position and the other symbols around it.

Stoic Stars draws on the Elder Futhark and selects runes for each consultation. The interpretation connects their symbols and positions with the context of your question. The same concern can therefore open a different perspective from Tarot: less narrative, more focused on images and ideas that invite you to pause and think.

06Numerology

Numerology is a symbolic tradition that assigns meanings to numbers and their relationships. Using a name and date of birth, it builds different readings about identity, journeys and cycles. Its interest lies in using those associations as a starting point for observing aspects of your experience.

In Stoic Stars, we calculate numbers such as your life path and personal year from the details you share. Each offers a different focus: themes that accompany your journey or those this tradition links to a particular cycle. The interpretation does not reduce you to a number; it offers another vocabulary for exploring your motivations, choices and changes.

07Vedic & Dosha

This section introduces ideas from the Ayurvedic tradition, which describes three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Within that framework, they are used to discuss qualities and tendencies related to everyday balance. They are categories within a wellbeing tradition, not labels that completely define a person.

Based on the information you share, the app offers an introduction to these ideas and invites you to observe your habits and feelings from another perspective. Its content is for general wellbeing and does not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. You can explore it with curiosity as a cultural resource for personal reflection within Stoic Stars.

08Lunar calendar and biorhythms

The lunar calendar lets you follow the phases of the Moon and observe its waxing and waning rhythm. In the app, this journey is symbolically connected with moments of pause, intention and planning. You can use it as a reference for making space for attention and shaping your own everyday rituals.

Biorhythms represent cycles calculated from your birth date and display them over time. They offer a different view of your changing states, from a non-traditional perspective. Both tools invite you to compare what you see with your own experience and discover which ways of observing your rhythms feel meaningful to you.

09Time Traveler

Time Traveler invites you to choose a date and place to explore the sky at that moment. It might be a day from your story, a date that sparks curiosity or an event you want to view from another angle. The starting point is a sky calculated for that day and location.

The section combines these astronomical details with an accessible overview and an exploration of the historical context. From there, it opens a space to connect memories, periods and personal questions. The journey happens in your perspective: revisiting a moment with greater distance, discovering associations and reflecting on what that date means to you today.

10Ask a Master, Cosmic Portal and Sigils

Ask a Master recreates conversations inspired by the works and legacy of different thinkers. You can bring a concern and explore how it might be approached through their ideas, language and worldview. These are literary figures inspired by those authors, a way to bring philosophy closer to your questions today.

The Cosmic Portal brings together symbols related to your profile so you can explore their possible associations. Sigils let you create a personal symbol linked to an intention, as a gesture of attention and expression. Stars and rewards recognise your participation and continuity in the app as you explore these self-discovery experiences.

Celestial positions are calculated from birth and location details. The meanings we explore are symbolic interpretations for personal reflection, not scientific predictions.
STOIC STARS

ABOUT US · STOIC STARS

A space to know yourself.
More perspectives to choose from.

Stoic Stars began with a question: what can we discover about ourselves when we look from different places? We bring together Stoic philosophy, astrology and symbolic traditions to accompany that exploration with questions, conversations and new ways to interpret what we experience.

A natal chart, a rune or a thinker's words can open a different reflection. We want each experience to help you recognise your strengths, observe your contradictions and make space for possibilities you might not have considered.

We don't aim to dictate your future or decide for you. Our purpose is to offer a moment of attention and perspective: an intimate, thoughtful space without dogma, where curiosity becomes self-discovery and you remain free to choose your path.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A little more clarity.

About the app, its languages and your experience with us.

The experience

What is Stoic Stars?

It's a self-discovery app that brings together Stoic philosophy, astrology and symbolic traditions. You can explore the same concern through a natal chart, a spread or a conversation inspired by a thinker's legacy.

Do I need to know astrology or philosophy to start?

No. The sections are designed for curious exploration, without prior knowledge. Start with what interests you and use the explanations to get familiar with each language.

Who is it for?

For adults seeking a space for personal reflection who are interested in philosophy, symbols and inner wellbeing. You don't need to adopt a belief or accept an interpretation that doesn't resonate with you.

Can I download it yet?

Stoic Stars is in closed testing on Google Play. We'll publish download links when confirmed. The App Store link is also pending; we won't announce availability before it's real.

What's the difference between a reading and a prediction?

A reading offers associations and questions for exploring your experience. In Stoic Stars, it aims to broaden your perspective, not announce inevitable events or decide for you.

Do I have to use every section?

Choose whatever appeals to you: Western astrology, Jyotish, Tarot, Runes, numerology or philosophy. You don't need to follow a particular order or get the same answer from each.

Which languages are available in the app?

The welcome screen lets you choose Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Norwegian, Hindi and Chinese. Language selection is independent of your birth details.

Your chart and its calculations

What details are needed to calculate my chart?

Your birth date, time and city. The app uses the location's coordinates and historical time zone to place the sky at that moment. Check the time and city carefully before generating a chart.

Why does the time matter so much?

The time affects the ascendant and houses. An approximate time can change those results. If you don't know yours, try checking a reliable record and don't treat an estimate as an exact detail.

Is my birth time zone the same as my email time zone?

Not necessarily. Your chart needs the historical time zone of your birthplace. Message scheduling needs the time zone where you want to receive them now; the form lets you choose it and a preferred local time.

Which house system does the Western chart use?

We use equal houses. Planetary positions, signs and aspects are calculated from your birth details and then interpreted together. Other tools may use different house systems.

Why don't my Western and Jyotish charts match?

They are traditions with different reference points. The Western chart uses the tropical zodiac; Jyotish uses the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa. This difference can place the same planet in different signs.

What are nakshatras and dashas?

In Jyotish, nakshatras are lunar divisions that add nuance to a reading. Dashas organise periods within this tradition. The app includes cycles such as Vimshottari Dasha to explore themes and stages symbolically.

What's calculated and what's interpreted?

Celestial positions are calculated for a date and place. The personal meanings assigned to them belong to symbolic traditions. A calculated position does not make its interpretation a scientific prediction.

What if my details are incorrect?

Check the date, time format and selected city before continuing. If you need help with a profile or an existing chart, email info@stoicstars.app and tell us which detail you want to review.

Does astrocartography tell me where to live?

It projects your chart's planetary lines onto a map to explore symbolic associations with places. It can inspire questions, but it doesn't choose a city for you or guarantee experiences in a destination.

What can I explore with Time Traveler?

Choose a date and place to explore the sky at that moment and its historical context. The section combines calculated astronomical details with an accessible overview to revisit a period or memory from another perspective.

A small vocabulary of the sky

What is a natal chart?

It's a map of the sky for the time and place of your birth. In astrology, it is interpreted through planets, signs, houses and aspects.

How do planets, signs and houses relate?

Planets represent symbolic functions; signs describe their expression; houses describe areas of experience. They are read together, not as isolated labels.

What does each planet represent?

Sun: identity; Moon: emotions; Mercury: thought; Venus: connection; Mars: initiative; Jupiter: expansion; Saturn: limits; Uranus: change; Neptune: imagination; Pluto: transformation. These are astrological associations.

What do the twelve houses represent?

One: identity. Two: resources. Three: communication. Four: home. Five: creativity. Six: habits. Seven: relationships. Eight: transformation. Nine: learning. Ten: public life. Eleven: community. Twelve: inner life.

What are aspects?

They are angular relationships between planetary positions. Conjunction, opposition, square, trine and sextile are examples; their interpretation depends on the whole chart.

What is a cusp and what is a ruler?

A cusp marks the beginning of a house. Its ruler is the planet associated with the sign on that cusp, according to the tradition being used.

Are there good and bad houses?

They aren't a ranking or a verdict. They represent different themes that can be explored with nuance, without reducing them to luck or misfortune.

Symbols, questions and philosophy

What can I ask Tarot or Runes?

Explore a decision, a change, a relationship or a personal concern. Open questions such as “what could I see differently?” leave room for reflection rather than asking for an inevitable outcome.

Where does each reading come from?

Tarot interprets the selected cards and their relationship to your question. Runes considers Elder Futhark symbols and positions. The context of the question is part of the interpretation.

Why can two readings offer different perspectives?

Each tradition uses different symbols, and each spread can bring together other elements. You don't need to force a single answer: notice which ideas are useful and which you'd rather set aside.

What does numerology calculate?

It uses your name and birth date to calculate numbers such as your life path and personal year. Their meanings are explored as symbolic associations for self-discovery.

Am I really talking to a historical master?

No. These are recreated conversations with literary figures inspired by different thinkers' works, ideas and legacies. They are not the author's original words or communication with that person.

What are the Cosmic Portal and Sigils?

The Cosmic Portal offers symbols related to your profile. Sigils let you create a personal symbol connected to an intention. They are resources for exploration and expression, without promises of supernatural effects.

What are the lunar calendar and biorhythms for?

The calendar follows lunar phases and relates them to moments of pause or intention. Biorhythms represent cycles from your birth date: another perspective for observing your changing states and comparing them with your experience.

Does Vedic & Dosha replace professional advice?

No. It introduces ideas from the Ayurvedic tradition and general wellbeing guidance about doshas. It does not provide diagnosis or treatment and does not replace medical advice.

Your chart on the web and emails

How will generating a chart on this website work?

Enter your birthplace, date and time to calculate a chart with Stoic Stars’ natal engine. You’ll see the chart and three personalised lines on this page, with options to share or download the image. Your birth details are not saved by the request.

What will I receive by email, and how often?

If you select the separate daily-email opt-in, the same subscriber system used by the app sends your Western and Jyotish horoscope in your chosen language at 07:00 local time. You can unsubscribe using the link in each email.

Where will my email be registered?

Only people who tick the separate daily-email box are added to the app’s subscriber database. We store the email, language, selected sign, birth date, time zone and consent record. Birth city and time are used to calculate the chart but are not saved by that request.

What's shared if I post my chart?

The image is designed to contain only the chart and its interpretation, without your email or form details. A compatible phone opens the system share menu, where available apps may include Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or email. You can also download the image and upload it manually.
